Albert Naehring - DECESED
Name: Albert Naehring
Metatype: Human
Gender: Male
Age: Late 50s
Occupation: Neuropsychiatrist
An acclaimed neuropsychiatrist, Doctor Albert Naehring received the Nobel Prize for Medicine in 2070 for his detailed study of the organic-inorganic neural interface and its applications in the field of psychiatry. Head of the Ashecliffe institute of Seattle since 2060, his out-of-the-box thinking and application of treatment considered by some of his peers too dangerous led to an astonishingly high rate of successfully treated patients.
Considered by many the best in his field, Dr. Naehring authored several works detailing the use of some of his unorthodox treatments. Despite criticism by his detractors for "taking too many risks", and perhaps ironically, these works oftentimes include mention of more traditional treatments being necessary for a "full recovery" or "significant progress".
As of the 27th of February 2075 Dr. Naehring has been pronounced dead, despite no body having been found, in the aftermath of a terrorist attack on Ashecliffe. Following his death several documents (the validity of which came into question numerous times) have begun to circulate, indicating that illegal BTL (Better Than Life) chips were used as treatment of certain patients. Official sources have thus far stated only that an investigation is under way and that they "cannot confirm or deny the allegations against Dr. Naehring".
